i love that song too. At one point during the early stage of the pandemic I compared the backwards/forwards parts in Audacity and only then realized they are subtly different. IIRC reversed the backwards part with the latter half

What I want my brain to do: Start producing the chemicals that make me fall asleep What my brain does instead: drops on me the couplet "Korma police / Arrest this naan". What am I supposed to do with that?

Everyone is trying to find a good use for AI these days. What if we used AI to help manage the world's politics and economy? Like in an unbiased way. We could set up a system of like five of them (JD, AL, TR, TJ and GW) and then put them in charge of government choices and information control?

This repo is more batch file than C++ code for the mod itself 😅

I've spent far too many hours putting together a way to build RE_Kenshi DLLs using the MSVC 2010 toolchain via a batch file that also works on Linux (via Proton 11 or Wine 11) See: github.com/silbinarywol...

The Residents is both a band I like for its weirdness but also I imagine the fanbase is like the 40-50 year old version of a Tim & Eric fan Like its uniquely weird but also tries too hard. Same goes for Primus. It just feels like it lacks authenticity somehow which I wouldn't say about Ween.

cool :) I like at least four of these (Brick, Babylon 5, Darkplace, Haruhi) so I'm gonna use this list to check out some TV I've never seen 😁 cheers!

this list both made me chuckle *and* it's hard to tell at what quality you regard each item on the list or if you genuinely like some of these but uh, I'm throwing "Wild Palms" into it

Discomfort is an essential part of growth and wouldn’t it be so embarrassing to be the exact same person thirty years from now, in a totally different world, because you were so averse to discomfort?

Once you start noticing how the incapacity to handle discomfort affects how people live their lives it's actually pretty shocking how it ruins pretty much every conceivable aspect of existence. Interpersonal relationships, romantic and platonic. Career and education opportunities. Your politics Your willingness to go anywhere. The kind of food you eat. The kind of art you expose yourself to and your ability to read it. It's never just one thing, it touches everything, and once you notice it it's like suddenly being able to see germs or something. Just this horrific catastrophe people look at you askance for screaming about. As I grow older and see what became of my friends and peers who could not learn to handle discomfort, the more I'm like. This is a genuine societal issue

Yup, I do critical writing, and there's a LOT of people who basically go "this does not validate me personally, and therefore must be antagonistic to me," and I'm going "I am using this game as a way of understanding how systems work or don't."

Good luck! I've found working with C/C++ stuff to be very... unfun, but in theory Becca can help set you up with as many safe-guards as possible like UBSan / etc to make debugging/hitting memory issues and whatnot less miserable!

I'd recommend looking at @thorstenball.com's book "Writing a Compiler in Go". I personally found the code and teaching easier to follow than Bob Nystrom stuff so you *might* have more luck with that?

Alright folks, Im 4 episodes into Digital Circus now so I can tell y'all how it differs from the *other* indie animations. - Digital Circus is a modern Gravity Falls if the target audience range was bumped up 2-4 years. - Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss is modern South Park for edgy queers

"My Dinner With Andre" (1981) might be one of, if not the best film I've seen in years. 10/10 Watched it for the first time last night and I think I could watch it at least 2 more times within the next 2 weeks and still be drawn in and absorbed by the dialogue.
