Everyone is trying to find a good use for AI these days. What if we used AI to help manage the world's politics and economy? Like in an unbiased way. We could set up a system of like five of them (JD, AL, TR, TJ and GW) and then put them in charge of government choices and information control?

The Residents is both a band I like for its weirdness but also I imagine the fanbase is like the 40-50 year old version of a Tim & Eric fan Like its uniquely weird but also tries too hard. Same goes for Primus. It just feels like it lacks authenticity somehow which I wouldn't say about Ween.

Once you start noticing how the incapacity to handle discomfort affects how people live their lives it's actually pretty shocking how it ruins pretty much every conceivable aspect of existence. Interpersonal relationships, romantic and platonic. Career and education opportunities. Your politics Your willingness to go anywhere. The kind of food you eat. The kind of art you expose yourself to and your ability to read it. It's never just one thing, it touches everything, and once you notice it it's like suddenly being able to see germs or something. Just this horrific catastrophe people look at you askance for screaming about. As I grow older and see what became of my friends and peers who could not learn to handle discomfort, the more I'm like. This is a genuine societal issue

"My Dinner With Andre" (1981) might be one of, if not the best film I've seen in years. 10/10 Watched it for the first time last night and I think I could watch it at least 2 more times within the next 2 weeks and still be drawn in and absorbed by the dialogue.

there should be a side quest in a JRPG where you get a character that joins your crew called "Magg Huffin" and they end up causing more enemies to attack you and come after you, and your characters protect them because they're "super important". AMAB... Assigned Maguffin at birth...

This is Hirohiko Araki (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure creator) giving what I must consider bad advice in his book advice about manga. The example he makes up after the highlighted section is the basis for one of the better role-playing games to come out in the past several years (disco elysium).

Been fixing some bugs in Give Up The Dupe lately and pushed up a build that fixes the game not running on Proton/Linux. It's fun finding an old comment like this! I was even able to follow the Trello link and get the OG screenshot that got sent to me! Link: store.steampowered.com/app/1163470/...

Magicdweedoo reported a bug where if player pushes a ball up in
front of a clone, it won't kill that player immediately.

This was because we called "CheckPlayerSeenSelf" in the player
object before the ball had moved out of the way.
