🇳🇱 Goedemorgen Netherlands. Great overnight journey across Germany, woken on bouncy track a couple of times. Great to have a shower in the cabin. Then breakfast with scrambled eggs. On time arrival into Amsterdam 09:49 expected. Fab trip ÖBB! 🇦🇹

My childhood memories include getting IC225s all the way down the ECML, so to sample one north of York for the first time since I was 16 was amazing, the memories certainly came back for sure! King Edward Bridge down, Royal Border Bridge next? Maybe one day

I visited the #Mezquita-Catedral this morning. The first visit of the day is free at 8.30am. Stragglers can then hang on for 9.30 #Eucharist - if so inclined - for some wondrously vulgar smells and bells, and some hardcore throbbing #organ action.

"Flexitarian, vegan curious", pre-ordered the #vegan option on #Eurostar out of simple curiosity, and it's rather good. It even came with pudding, unlike the veggie option. 🥳 Now working through the baby bottle of organic red.

A Peruvian finger puppet enjoys a feast served on a tray. A bowl of spicy aubergine, hummus, and peppers, served on a bed of couscous. There's a bread roll with sunflower spread, a slightly bland Panna cotta and a small glass of red wine. Oat milk has been provided for the tea/coffee.

My brilliant idea… Stations should have the displays for when the next train’s coming outside on the street, to better advertise the service and coax people in. It’s arguably a more practical place to put it than on the platform.
