I ran Spirit of the Century for Free RPG Day in 2010, and I'm now setting up to run my second ever convention game, a one-shot of Blades '68. I'm old, I'm nervous, and I'm 100% convinced that my players (who have only heard of D&D and have no expectations) will be absolutely rabid. How exciting!

At some point in the past five or so years, I increased my rates to what I then considered almost comically high, and still got the same amount of jobs. Doubling your current rate is honestly probably the minimum you should do.

I've just downloaded all of the Blades '68 materials and I'm already planning a one-shot for the board game charity I volunteer for. I'm intrigued as to where on the Austin Powers <-> Day of the Jackal spectrum they'll fall - not to mention the Doctor Who <-> Hammer spectrum.

I've been accepted as a volunteer for a small charity using tabletop games to break down barriers and build friendships. My first session was tonight, and it was great. There's a lot of bad in the world, but people are worth spending time on - and tabletop games are a great way to spend that time!

Fun session of D&D5.5e last night, despite novice DM choosing to split the party in the mists and attack one player on their own. An hour and a half of the rest of us as spectators, which, whilst it could have been better spent, was about the level of spoons I actually had after the weekend!
