Who or What am I? Hint 1: One of the truly migratory European butterflies, they can be seen on the south coast almost every year but occurrences in the rest of the UK varies considerably from year to year - more this year than some. A descriptive hint at noon.

Who or What am I? Hint 2: An all-black, medium-sized beetle, with large jaws and a abdomen that it holds cocked in a characteristic, scorpion-like position when threatened. When threatened it can also emit a foul-smelling substance. Answer at 8pm

Who or What am I? Hint 1: Voracious predators, emerging after dark to prey on invertebrates, and using their pincer-like jaws to crush them. They are fast-moving, preferring to run along the ground. Second in a noon.

Starting with a tinker. John's notes say this is based on a song collected in Shropshire in 1879 from.a group of mummers. He seems to have added quite a bit and made a few adjustments. Glotherick was a word used by his father in law for thick gravy or sauce. Had to re-post. youtu.be/Hn_EnS1xYwY?...
