So without doxing myself, I have a relatively uncommon name… at least if you were born in the last century. Originally it was spelled traditionally. However nobody could manage to pronounce it, so I did the Chef Boyardee thing and dumbed down the spelling so people wouldn’t butcher it.

Unfortunately abandoning trans people is not the deal-breaker many on the left think it is as there have been no tangible consequences for Dem polticians who do it.
For one thing, there aren't many trans people in the U.S. population (only 1%) so there's not a lot of backlash.
