10-6-26 South PDX. It looks like arson not a homeless camp around. This location is considered a soft T word target. It is under 24 hour video surveillance. With so many threats from so many places we all need to be vigilant. Minutes before this there was a MAGA extremists making threats. Shane.

Imagine this being your chosen field and actually writing this out or having it edited in to be published. Humiliating.

Y'all. Misgendering someone is wrong. Someone doing it accidentally, then correcting it when it was pointed out to them isn't reason to go on some weird campaign against them. Especially doing it to distract from criticism. Don't tokenize us like that.

I’ve complained about shitty journalism in the past, but this account of what happened at ClarkLewis takes the cake. Complete head in the sand about the Nazis in this town and can’t be bothered to use Google to research ANYTHING! “Oh well, must have happened in a vacuum!” (sarcasm)

Turning Point USA media are embedded with Border Patrol to cover the eviction of the camp defending the final old-growth trees where Trump aims to build a border wall desecrating the landscape. TPUSA are state-sponsored fascist propaganda. Exactly the same as state media in any other autocracy.

Hey disabled friends, You're not actually a genie. You don't have to spend 🔋 deciding whether you'd still want social media to exist. Your private wishes don't carry moral weight, and it's okay to have benefited from it, including finding people/community you couldn't reach any other way.

KOIN working overtime to make our community's response to white nationalists organizing in our city look like a joke. I think they played the same clip of some folks having fun dancing across the street two, maybe three, times. People were dancing like that for <30 mins out of an hours long action

They make it sound like the restaurant employees walked out or quit because the protest — all of us antifascists — were "traumatizing," rather than, you know, having to serve misogynist white. nationalist neo-nazis while the community you belong to and sympathize with rallies outside.

And they claim they asked all of us if we wanted an interview, which is not true. Chalk Girl was never asked to do an interview. I mean, I wouldn't have either. As I said re: journos last year at ICE: "You don't want to interview me. I'm intersex." #NightmarishStylisticThey/ThemSubject."

They give the business spokesman time to prattle on about how they're totally blameless, without challenging them about their failure as a business to properly look into who was booking their space and why. They don't ask him about what the business intends to do to make up for this.

Here is the chalk that I was working on when ClarkLewis boss threw pitchers of water at me / it. Waited around a bit and redid it.
Chalk drawing on Portland pdx sidewalk outside the ClarkLewis restaurant that reads ”THIS BUSINESS HOSTED A GROUP OF NAZIS AND THEN CITED RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE TO JUSTIFY IT.”

Went down to the ClarkLewis protest for a minute. As I was getting ready to leave, one of the shills from the restaurant came out the door to throw a pitcher of water on someone. This restaurant & its owners KNEW who they were inviting into their restaurant & should be driven from polite society.

Buried in this story that everyone’s leaving out of the conversation is that he blames Jews for creating the FDA to ban “holistic” health treatments and make everyone sick to profit off of them. It always, always, always comes back to antisemitism. It’s the core that rots everything from center out
"In 1933 when the Rothschilds FDA came along the first thing they went after was radium water... not vaxxines [sic], dirty electricity, or pesticides," he wrote in the video's caption. "Gee I wonder why... healthy people don't yield large profits."

The "antisemitism isn't systemic" argument falls apart when you grasp the security costs borne by American Jews in just about every aspect of communal life. Nazis walking into synagogues with AR-15s are animated by the same Great Replacement Theory espoused by our Christian nationalist electeds.

"Antisemitism is not systemic" is the kind of thing one can be convinced of only if they're not in community with Jewish people, IMHO. Antisemitism is so baked into American life that it almost becomes easy to overlook.

The poll shows Republican state Sen. Christine Drazan with a slim lead over Democratic Gov. Tina Kotek, though it was within the survey’s margin of error.

The death penalty offers no path to undoing a wrongful conviction and there are no guarantees against a botched execution. Oregon cannot meaningfully say it has moved beyond the death penalty. It's still on the books and Drazen would likely order a state murder. Vote

Aw, markie got himself a new fancy picture! 🤢 SHOCKING that he is endorsed by Emmert and also former clerk (the laughingstock) Sherry Hall donated to his campaign. www.oregonlive.com/clackamascou...
Screenshot of attached Oregonian article:

"Reaksecker said his campaign has consisted largely of meetings at senior living facilities and other community centers. He's posted about 100 billboard-style signs and 200 yard signs.

On his website, Reaksecker lists endorsements from three dentists, two doctors and Emmert International, the Clackamas-based transportation and engineering company."

My therapist used to say “your feelings are evidence but they aren’t the verdict” and boy if that hasn’t kept me out of trouble

Really fucked up actually that the "you are valid" culture which, usefulness and uh, validity thereof aside, was intended to provide some some perspective for people who may have been blamed for harmless things they could not control morphed into if strangers on the internet do not constantly tell me I'm good and perfect they are the oppressor" and "even constructively and gently telling me that I hold some power and responsibility to seek a better situation is an unspeakably cruel act."
kaurwreck Follow
Once, in an argument with my therapist about a decision I made to antagonize my mother, I snapped, "My feelings are valid," and he shot back, "They're valid because they're real, but that doesn't make them rational.*
It was a more nuanced and tailored conversation after that, but that particular quote struck me especially and made me realize how often I was conflating "valid" with "reasonable" or "justified."

your feelings are valid == you are allowed to feel what you feel
your feelings are valid =/= whatever actions you take based purely on your emotions is reasonable and right
your feelings are valid. that doesn't mean your understanding of a situation is correct; it doesn't mean you haven't misunderstood something; it doesn't mean you have the right to hurt someone else because you feel hurt, or unhappy, or sad, or angry, even if they obviously 'deserve it for how they made you feel
your feelings are valid; you are not wrong for feeling whatever way you feel. But just because you feel something doesn't make it true
