Why is it no matter how many episodes of Seinfeld I've watched I still find more episodes I haven't? Is there an infinite pool?

The IRS surveyed people about Direct File, and the results must have been absolutely *glowing* because they're now refusing to release the results. www.nextgov.com/digital-gove...

The agency also wants to do more surveys on taxpayer preferences. It ran a survey in August and received over 50,000 responses, although those results “are not statistically representative” and therefore aren’t included in the report, the IRS said.

Our nation's federal employees are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They make sure we have clean water. They protect us from financial fraud. They provide healthcare to our communities. They make our government actually work for people. Do not forget this.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F. 18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it. We made this website to tell our story: 18f.org

Direct File is live and processing tax returns! One of the most rewarding things I have delivered. And some incredible updates this year - half the states in the nation are eligible, and we support some data import of information IRS already has!

The stupidest thing about the "h1bs depress tech salaries" debate is that most h1bs go to tech jobs so if h1bs depress salaries, why are tech jobs the highest paid, most coveted jobs out there that everyone has been salivating to get into for the last decade?

A relative of mine told me who has her second ex-husband's name told me she didn't like it but was waiting to marry again to change it to her next husband's name. 🤯 All these husbands ditched all the kids with their names while she raised them. Why are women's own names not important?

When you call 911, they ask “police, fire, or EMS?” Only one of those costs money: the ambulance. That’s unacceptable. Imagine if your house was on fire and you were presented with a bill after it was put out. That would be outrageous. So why do we tolerate it with healthcare?
