it's legit game changing how many regular tasks i can do from my phone now: gather data, test hypotheses and generate charts. one of my biggest pet peeves, in fact, is that i need Claude's Dispatch feature to fetch data and generate RedMonk-style ggplot2 charts, but voice mode doesn't work with it.

the explanation for this reminds me of the time when we talked to an enterprise with massively over-provisioned memory, and it turned out their lawyers had said two datasets they legally could not combine could be combined in memory, just not on disk, because that didn't count

this is a good way to think about it. long time ago i talked to a hardware vendor who told me cloud was just for toy apps. long story short they'd stopped paying attention after EC2/S3 and had missed, among other things, database-as-a-service offerings like RDS.
