When a government fails to do those things, people really need to examine their priorities and push for reforms that empower them, not keep them vilified for being poor, sick, colored, "trash," DIFFERENT. If a government doesn't represent the best interests of the people, what fucking good is it?

Get the people educated. Get them healthy. Make sure they're happy and confident. That'll motivate them to participate more in the economy, creating growth, demand, and increasing the size of the pie. The economy's a giant Ponzi scheme, you gotta keep the machine running with wide participation.

It doesn't make sense, how the powers that be are beggaring the people while maximizing profits. That discourages people from entering the economy, reducing the overall economic pie. It makes things meaner and leaner all around, but it doesn't have to be that way. Why not prosperity all around?

I like seeing the argument "without AI these ports would not exist" and here's my actual response: I actually would rather not see them exist for an extremely simple reason: They're absolutely USELESS. And I would say that emulation has always allowed similar improvements the entire time.
