TV Asahi once had a weekend news program called "News Station". Composer Toshiyuki Honda created this jazzy opening theme titled "Good Evening" for the show. It was released on CD in 1989 and even performed live on the program. I never thought I'd hear a cool catchy city pop TV news theme.

The cool thing about physical media? You can include that media in the inside hardcover of a video game history book. Like when this publisher in Japan put a Sega Dreamcast compilation of Yu Suzuki's arcade games in Game Works Vol. 1 back in 2002.

I’ve decided to stay somewhere between the 80’s and 90’s. Gaming was something fun and exciting! Super Mario Bros came out. You had Nintendo and Sega, going at each other. You had the GameBoy and Pokemon taking over the world. Renting games was the best thing ever. Good times.
