really super proud of how it's turning out! still a few things to improve but a lot of things i really nailed compared to our drawing skills

same drawing as previous post. this time, the lines are almost all cleaner, and a few details such as Hitsuji's stripes on her ear, her and Iryu's faces, and fluff around Iryu's thigh and forearms were added. Hitsuji looks excited and admirative, and Iryu has a slight smile with his eye closed (in a "anime character smiling" kind of way). he's holding an explorer's badge.
Iryu's legs are also better-drawn

Élana @shift.bliry.fr.ap.brid.gy · 02/10/2026

mmmh. something's wrong about Iryu (Zoroark on the right)'s pelvis

the same drawing, but with a work-in-progress sketch of a Zoroark looking at the Flaaffy. his features are much rounder facing the Flaaffy but more standard/sharper on the opposite side.

worst part of learning to draw is seeing your sketch is awful and genuinely not knowing whether it's because it's incomplete or actually bad the wip i posted earlier is like that, the head looks disconnected from the torso in a very weird way but it's very possible it's not gonna look weird […]

A sketch of Southpaw from Cassette Beasts. I tried to give it the same pose as in the official artwork. Proportions are off in some spots though, and the legs/feet and the snout are a bit weird.

new attempt instead of going to sleep genuinely no idea whether it's better or worse (outside of obviously the hands/paws being more detailed and one's missing, also the tail that is actually there now), feedback appreciated #CassetteBeasts #WIP (?) #DrawingExercice #TraditionalArt

new attempt of drawing Southpaw's silhouette

030

Élana @shift.bliry.fr.ap.brid.gy · 04/07/2026

learning how to draw by drawing the silhouette of Southpaw (from Cassette Beasts) i'll get there! loving how much progress i made in so little attempts (granted, i starter super rough lol) #CassetteBeasts #WIP (kinda?) #DrawingExercise #TraditionalArt

2 attempts of drawing Southpaw I did yesterday. The first attempt has very unassured lines and the shape is distorted; the second one is super blocky, kind of like a stereotypical toy robot.

A third attempt. It started out better than the first 2, the head is recognizable, but the bottom of the body ended up being much too wide and ended up being pear-shaped (which I'm pretty sure Southpaw isn't). I annotated "too wide" below the drawing.

The fourth attempt I did just now. It resembles much more the official artwork, with the proportions and the shape being much more accurate. The snout sticks out less. I also happened to draw it chubbier than the official sprite. The tail is tiny because I started to sketch too close from the edge of the paper
