Random fact: Richard Patrick’s brother is actor Robert Patrick (T-1000 in “Terminator 2”, “X-Files”, “Peacemaker”). 🤯

Another I’m late to the game for. Picked up Army of Anyone’s self titled album. If you’re not familiar it’s basically Stone Temple Pilots fronted by Richard Patrick (Filter). Liking both bands I enjoyed the album.

Was listening to “The Information” by Beck (the musician, not my son) recently. I had forgotten how good of an album it is. Give it listen if it’s been a while!

Hello! I still badly need work in narrative design or game writing etc. I’ve been in games for 20 years and I’m responsible for the mobile smash hit Lily’s Garden. I will take on full-time or contract work but I really need to pick something up soon. Please get in touch if you have/know of something

Watched “Tron: Ares” last night. I’m all for artist experimenting, but I feel like Nine Inch Nails did not pulled off the long music video format here. It was interesting, but it was no “The Wall”. And strange choice having Jared Leto star in another band’s video. New NIN member???

When he was real small I listened to all sorts of things in the car. Now that he's older, repeats things like a parrot, it's mostly children's music.

Yea, but the pod race he'd be into. And it's a kid behind the wheel of the winning one too.

That sad day when you realize how much your son is into race cars that you’ll have to buy “ The Phantom Menace”.

Strange things you learn as a parent. There are 14 “The Land Before Time” movies. 🤯

Other day in the car. Son: What's that noise? Wife: That's daddy's music... you'll get use to it. For the curious, we were listening to Swans' "To Be Kind".

Ideal conditions for starting your passion project will never come. You will never feel skilled enough to make it. There will never be a moment where you stop being scared to start. Do it anyway. Do it badly. Do it scared. Just make that thing that’s clawing at the door of your soul; It wants out.

Optimism is great to have when facing a difficult task. Optimism IS NOT great to have when ordering clothes online. Jason, let’s be honest. You have a dad-bod. Just order the X-Large.

Heads up: I’ll be looking for a new role soon. I’m frontend to back-of-frontend. I’m people-first. I dig Web APIs & in-browser tests. I love clean, thoughtful web apps. When necessary, I design APIs to feel like they like came out of the box. If you hear of anything coming up, I’d love to chat!

Gabe and Mjolnir need a new home, can you help? Rowan, their human who has sadly passed, wished for them to remain together. Will help get them relocated to anywhere within the United States; please read on for more details! 🧵 Signal boosts & sharing are appreciated 💙

Ugh! In remembrance, if you're in a dark mood I recommend watching "Blue Velvet". If you're in a lighter mood, "The Straight Story". In either case, have a damn good coffee and some cherry pie. David, thanks for all the great stories/movies, art, and music. You will be greatly missed.

Today, sixty days after being laid off by JPL, my severance pay and insurance coverage expire. At JPL, I did engineering ops for the Curiosity Rover 🚀. Before that, I studied entrepreneurship and management at Stanford. Please reskeet this so I can make new connections and find new opportunities 🤠

Looking for recommendation for a native email client for macOS. Been using Postbox (which is a prettier version of Thunderbird), but they were just bought and will stop supporting it soon. Don't need anything too fancy. Needs to work with GMail services. Thanks!!!
