The amount of Amazon workers relying on SNAP and Medicaid has nearly tripled since 2020. — while Amazon’s annual profits soared by over 550%. It’s the same story everywhere: corporate profits are at record highs, while workers’ share of the economy is at a record low. We must unrig the system.

Google’s clarification claims it wasn’t AI, which doesn’t make this any better. Because there’s no such thing software “accidentally” doing something. This is my professional opinion as a software engineer with a bachelor’s in software engineering, going on 12 years of experience.
Snippet from the quoted post’s linked article.

Clarification: The original version of this story stated that the Google news alert was AI-generated. Google has since made clear that, although the inclusion of the N-word was a tech error, it was not AI-generated. Google said its systems “recognised a euphemism for an offensive term on several web pages, and accidentally applied the offensive term to the notification text.” It added: “This system error did not involve AI. Our safety filters did not properly trigger, which is what caused this.“

“A streamlined newspaper for a streamlined era”—the slogan that replaces “A free press means free people” in Frank Capra and Robert Riskin’s 1941 classic film, “Meet John Doe.”
New signage: “The NEW BULLETIN – A streamlined newspaper for a streamlined era”
Old signage: Construction worker taking down the plaque of The BULLETIN newspaper, which states that the paper was established in 1860-something, and includes the slogan, “A free press means a free people.”
