MA has a historic number of ballot questions. Here's a handy guide for the 9 statewide ballot questions this year.
✅VOTE YES ON 1 to expand the public records law to cover the Governor and the Legislature. We’re the only state in the country that doesn’t do that already. Let the sunlight in.

✅VOTE YES ON 2 to enable public defenders to collectively bargain. Every worker deserves to have a union, and public defenders, who are often overworked and underpaid, should be no exception.

❌VOTE NO ON 3 to prevent private equity billionaires from rigging our election system in their favor. Top-two primaries empower corporate PACs and self-funders, disadvantage grassroots candidates, and turn MAGA voters into election kingmakers.

✅VOTE YES ON 4 to enable voters to register to vote or update their registration on Election Day. No eligible voter should be turned away due to a clerical error, and this reform is one of the most proven ways to increase voter turnout.

❌VOTE NO ON 5 to protect our state’s ability to invest in health care, transportation, and public education. The rich would get millions in tax rebates, while the rest of us suffer from underfunded public services.

⚪VOTE how you want on 6. Question 6 fell shy of our endorsement threshold: our members valued land and water conservation, but were worried about the dedication of existing funds as opposed to new ones.

✅VOTE YES on 7 to enable more starter homes across the Commonwealth. We have a housing crisis, and large lot size requirements mean fewer homes are able to be built.

❌VOTE NO on 8 to protect our state’s cannabis laws. We said NO to the war on drugs back in 2016, and we shouldn’t turn back time and destroy local economies.

✅VOTE YES ON 9 to protect our state’s landmark gun safety law, which cracked down on ghost guns, banned machine gun conversion devices, and strengthened gun violence data collection.

It figures that Kevin Sabet’s Project SAM would be behind this dark money scam. I’ve known him since he was a smarmy intern in the drug czar’s office under Clinton. He’s been a pro-drug war activist since he was a teenager!

If you have said or written the words “rogue agents” in the past few weeks you must read this important clarification by the excellent @eoinhiggins.bsky.social eoinhiggins.substack.com/p/there-are-...

There are no “rogue” AI agents

Louder for those in the back: Do NOT fall for the AI three-card monte trick. Pick your ONE outrage (data centers, law-breaking hacks, hype, learning loss, military targeting, environmental harm, job loss, economic risk, etc.) and fight back. Do not let AI techbros set the agenda for your future.

What is the tech industry truly afraid of? Is it the AI they have unleashed, as they want us to believe? Or is it…all of us, standing up to them? Thanks to Chris Hayes for having us on.

Someone needs to study the impacts of people using AI while they’re smoking weed. Based on the slop people send me constantly I think it’s the worst of all worlds. Stop it. If you are high go outside! Put on headphones and listen to music or write in a journal or talk to human beings
