My life is interesting in that people either think I’m the biggest jerk on the planet or they think I am a role model to look up to. Am I your villain? Or your hero? Am I an anti-hero?

On the *same day* the Cornell Seven drugged and raped Jane Doe, Cornell banned four students (including the President of Cornell JVP) from campus for three years for nonviolent, pro-Palestine protests. The same Cornell officials let the rapists off with apology essays.

You should ask Mahtab to babysit! Brock and Zabi can give you their Yelp review of her services. 😉

It’s as if we never experienced a global health emergency that demonstrated why tying health insurance to employment was a bad idea

iPhone. I can curate a playlist of my songs on my hard drive on the computer, but that playlist does not move over to my phone like it used to. The only songs in the playlist that remain on my phone are songs that are also found in Apple Music store. 😣

Any tips on what I need to be doing differently now that iTunes is Apple Music. I’d love to hear it!

Methane emissions have been mapped at higher & higher resolution every year. Share this info. It's important that people know who is messing with our future. 🧪

I hate that I can’t load my mp3s onto a playlist on my phone, simply because that demo does not exist on Apple Music. I miss iTunes .

See that small bright object in the middle right of this image? That's the small icy moon Mimas. Floating in space against a backdrop of giant Saturn, the planet crossed by shadows from its rings.

A black swath of shadow crosses the scene from top left to bottom right. The background is various shades of blue and grey. A small, illuminated crescent is at upper right. The lower portion of the image is lighter grey/brown.

The people running these companies believe that climate change could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a fringe worry. Publicly, many executives soften their language to sound reasonable, but privately, the fear is real. No other industry poses this level of danger to civilization.

Do not underestimate the scale of this climate crisis. We are watching feedback loops accelerate, ice sheet collapse, ocean heat content, methane release, that could lock in irreversible warming. We have all witnessed the data, and it is not slowing down.

This is what our home looks like from 6 billion kilometres away.

A set of colourful streaks of stray light across a dark, noisy background. At centre right is a small, pale, blue dot.

Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state. A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface. And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).
