With Warner Brothers about to be significantly owned by a country notorious for human rights crimes... I guess I'm done with their movies for the foreseeable future. I was kinda interested in Clayface, but I guess that and everything Paramount just fell into the pile of 'Nope.' Stupid megacorps.

If your pulp adventure TTRPG doesn’t have a mechanic where a player can randomly introduce an unexpected chase scene into a meeting with an underworld connection, is it really a pulp adventure? Savage worlds is so much better with the adventure deck.

Clyde Caldwell’s original art was definitely emblematic of the decade, for good and for bad. But if you’re embarrassed by the fantasy elements, don’t just get some Photoshop hack to cover it up, commission a new cover. What a terrible edit.

As someone who isn't planning to buy anything from any Microsoft company until they stop selling Palestine's data to Israel, I'm not really bothered by the restructuring of which sub-company is in charge of which intellectual property. It does suck seeing lots of people lose their jobs, though.

A cutaway view of a stone tower containing an elaborate water-powered medieval geared machine. Rising out of the machine is a rainbow-tinted, pixelated God with the robes, beard and all. To one side of this scene is a cluster of tiny people in Jesus-era robes, falling about themselves in religious ecstasy all over a stone staircase, atop of which stands a robed priest with his hands upraised. The background is a set of shining golden rays, emanating from pixel-God.

Conceptualization is the *most* important part of creation. Everything after that is merely executing (and refining) on that first part! It's like if my house only used mud for the foundation, so it's fine because no mud's included *inside* the final house. IT'S STILL BUILD ON MUD.

I am withdrawing my paper proposal from Warhammer Conference 2026. My reasoning can be found below. In a way, this has been one of the most stressful decisions of my academic career. In one way, the answer was clear to me since I found out about this.
To Dr. Ryder:

I am deeply saddened to do this, but I must withdraw my paper proposal for this year’s Warhammer Conference. I have been attending the conference every year since its inception, and as you are aware, this is the premiere conference in the field where I am currently writing my doctoral thesis.

My withdrawal is based your signature of the open letter in support of Nathan Cofnas, which I feel misleadingly frames his suspension as an issue of academic free speech, where as Ghent University has stated that their reasoning was based on shoddy work ethics and work that would bring university’s reputation into disrepute, i.e. “race realism” and other frankly racist and dubiously scientific works. I believe that many well-meaning scholars have been misled by primarily making this a case of academic free speech.

Moreover, Nathan Cofnas was the instigator for a mass harassment campaign of dubious merits that led to the death of Professor Jason Arday, which I find disgusting, horrible and unforgivable. I am unwilling to associate with anyone who shows support for Cofnas under the guise of academic free speech. The far right have shown their capability to use free speech as a smokescreen to harass, target, and demonize whole groups of people, and this is just another example of it. To see “academic free speech” being used as a reason to support this odious man is unacceptable to me. Without speculating on your motives, I have to listen to my own principles in this matter.

Democrats need to run just not on shutting ICE down but basically on justice leveled against them so intensely it looks like vengeance. You ran a for profit ICE site? Expect investigations, fines, and possibly jail time. You kidnapped and locked up people, especially kids? Pack your toothbrush.
