Hey, if you know anyone in Brooklyn, Sunset Park specifically, who recently lost a cat, I found this very personable (and LOUD) little polydactyl on 53rd and 2nd. She's unbelievably sweet. I would love to reunite her with her people

Amazon will spend $200B this year on AI infrastructure — including data centers — while forging ahead with over 30,000 layoffs. And don't forget: the company paid nearly $8B less in taxes last year thanks to Trump's big ugly bill. This is what corporate greed looks like.

"Anthropic Urges Global Pause in AI Development, Flags ‘Self-Improvement’ Risk

The $1 trillion startup warns artificial-intelligence models are nearing capability to improve without human intervention"

An excerpt reads: "Anthropic is calling for top artificial intelligence labs to weigh slowing the pace of development, suggesting that AI systems are advancing so rapidly that they may soon be able to improve themselves without human intervention in ways that could pose significant societal risks."

This is exactly why language matters: “women were given the vote” frames equality as a gift from men, instead of hard won political power extracted through organized resistance. Nobody gave women anything. Women fought, marched, strategized, endured violence, went to prison and died for it.

FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

NSF is about to dismantle NCAR at Russell Vought's direction to protect the fossil fuel industry. It's hard to communicate just how much NCAR does, so let's take a look: I've never worked at NCAR, and I've worked with NCAR researchers once ever. What scientific discoveries has NCAR made possible? 👇
Russ Vought (piss man) tweet about doing piss man shit: The National Science Foundation will be breaking up the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. This facility is one of the largest sources of climate alarmism in the country. A comprehensive review is underway & any vital activities such as weather research will be moved to another entity or location.
