When you’re chronically ill, your baseline is everything. It takes next to nothing to cause a setback and requires a shocking amount of effort to regain function. You’re the only one who has to live with the pain and heartache of a setback. Don’t let anyone force you to risk your baseline.

Another random win for me so far is that my hip mobility is a significant amount better than it was 4 months ago. Before physical therapy I could barely stand for longer than 10-15 minutes without being in pain and lay down. It’s still pretty tiring sometimes but I’m glad I stuck with it.
