My computer comes back to me next Monday, which means I'm finally going BACK to XIV 😭😭😭

Kat @serendipitymoon.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Like I'm a Gale and Wyll smoocher but I enjoyed how beautifully the Astarion romance was written (Spawn Astarion/Dark Urge is OTP) -- so I'm just... baffled at some of the spoilers that have come out Did we play the same game? Anyway further proof that Larian made BG3 great in spite of WOTC lmao

Kat @serendipitymoon.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Like I don't know how T. Kingfisher got to those conclusions based on what was present in the game but you know congrats on paying your mortgage for a year off of the advance I guess lmao

Kat @serendipitymoon.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Every spoilered review of the Astarion book that's coming out is like "...did we interact with the same character?" Like I get there are infinite interpretations of a character, but sometimes you look at the source material and then look at how someone is interpreting them, and you go "what"

Finally sending my computer in to get fixed after like months of putting it off because I knew it was going to cost me many dollars 😔 But after it's back home I'm going back on XIV and trying to get caught up before the next expansion

ffxiv fandom suffers from a similar problem where people will try and displace their own misogyny onto the writing and act like its actually the devs fault they can't think about a woman for more than ten seconds at a time

Not that I fucked with Fandom sites in the first place, but there is nothing on God's green Earth that will make me use your sites less than a "pwease turn on ads 🥺" button that obscures the entire page and doesn't provide me a way to bypass that bullshit

So these are the potential new WoLs I might use pick the one you like the most because I can't decide lol

Six potential new Warriors of Light -- two au ra, two lalafell, and two miqo'te

Kat @serendipitymoon.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I kinda want to restart playing XIV, except playing a short race (like a lala or a miqo or even a female au ra) idk playing a shorty in DnD scratches an itch so I want to play more shorties (it's because I am tall and haven't been short since the fifth grade I know lol)

I don't want a "Smart Fridge" that orders milk for me. I want a fridge that lasts 25 years and doesn't have a privacy policy that allows it to share my late-night snacking habits with my health insurance provider.

Played DnD over Discord VC for the first time last night -- 10/10 would roll again Everyone was so patient with me as I fumbled along, trying to learn the roll commands and stuff Still want to try in-person DnD but this will suffice until I get a chance

people who only think of shipping as romance cannot even conceive as shipping as thriller, shipping as horror, shipping as character study. very limiting worldview. you should expand your palate.

I've been looking on VGen to commission artists to draw my DnD character, and uh If you don't have an example of you drawing at least one brown/Black character or AT LEAST an example of you drawing curly hair, I gotta skip lol

Weeks of "why doesn't FFXIV have graphics like THIS" posts where no one understands the reality of building a new game from the ground up vs. trying to make existing code work, as well as ignoring the microtransactions of it all, only for it to flame out before getting an international release lmao

Feels like I’m going insane seeing alerts/news stories about the hazardous air quality that don’t even mention masks or say things like “do a little less yard work :)”. Bestie, the air is TOXIC. Any time outside is HARMFUL. The guidance should be 1) stay inside 2) if you can’t stay in, wear a mask.

If any of you know someone who specializes in drawing tiny gremlins, let me know I threw this together using this Picrew picrew.me/en/image_mak...

A sketchy cartoon of a girl with brown skin, large green eyes, wide nose, and curly dark brown hair. She smiles widely toward the camera. She wears a red flower in her hair, strawberry-shaped dangly earrings, a red scarf, a white undershirt, green sweater, and brown vest.
