My computer comes back to me next Monday, which means I'm finally going BACK to XIV 😭😭😭

Every spoilered review of the Astarion book that's coming out is like "...did we interact with the same character?" Like I get there are infinite interpretations of a character, but sometimes you look at the source material and then look at how someone is interpreting them, and you go "what"

Finally sending my computer in to get fixed after like months of putting it off because I knew it was going to cost me many dollars 😔 But after it's back home I'm going back on XIV and trying to get caught up before the next expansion

ffxiv fandom suffers from a similar problem where people will try and displace their own misogyny onto the writing and act like its actually the devs fault they can't think about a woman for more than ten seconds at a time

I kinda want to restart playing XIV, except playing a short race (like a lala or a miqo or even a female au ra) idk playing a shorty in DnD scratches an itch so I want to play more shorties (it's because I am tall and haven't been short since the fifth grade I know lol)

I don't want a "Smart Fridge" that orders milk for me. I want a fridge that lasts 25 years and doesn't have a privacy policy that allows it to share my late-night snacking habits with my health insurance provider.

Played DnD over Discord VC for the first time last night -- 10/10 would roll again Everyone was so patient with me as I fumbled along, trying to learn the roll commands and stuff Still want to try in-person DnD but this will suffice until I get a chance

people who only think of shipping as romance cannot even conceive as shipping as thriller, shipping as horror, shipping as character study. very limiting worldview. you should expand your palate.

I've been looking on VGen to commission artists to draw my DnD character, and uh If you don't have an example of you drawing at least one brown/Black character or AT LEAST an example of you drawing curly hair, I gotta skip lol

Feels like I’m going insane seeing alerts/news stories about the hazardous air quality that don’t even mention masks or say things like “do a little less yard work :)”. Bestie, the air is TOXIC. Any time outside is HARMFUL. The guidance should be 1) stay inside 2) if you can’t stay in, wear a mask.

Within 6 months of the iPhone being released, evangelical churches lost a *significant* number of their younger rural members. They could use the Internet without a shared computer or going to the library, and could look up the things their pastors said and go "Hey, he's full of shit."

Please go to the LGBTQIA+ centers near you. Donate or just hang out but please go out there and speak with your peers. Don't let online persuade you into thinking it's a certain way. I can't express this enough. Go outside and actually speak with your peers. It's pride and y'all should know better.

I really don't get how people can be all "I hate (insert BG3 companion) because they're terrible and selfish and (insert war crimes I guess)" when that's pretty much all of them when you first meet them lmao Except for Wyll, an angel whose biggest crime is being screwed by the writers 🥲

Finally FINALLY got through the entirety of Baldur's Gate 3 and yeah that was a banger -- already started a replay I romanced Gale with the last character (a Sword bard) so I think I'm going to romance Astarion next with a Sorcerer/Paladin because the clashing dynamics would be fun, I think

stormblood is an incredibly solid piece of writing with imo the clearest thesis that stays consistent over the course of the whole expac. not only is that thesis echoed by the good guys, but even the primary antagonist supports it: you must fight and live no matter what, or your spirit will die.

If they ever make a movie based on the Sims it should be a horror film about how the Creator routinely deletes people randomly generated by the game they seem to be "fugly" in order to control the population Not that I would ever do that obviously 👀
