Funny thing to say when you have your own card.

Kotokaze: Triple...Triad? Oh yes, I remember now! A sailor once insisted that I accept some of the cards as a gift. I would be glad to play a match with you, but please do not expect much skill on my part.

It is apparent that Hinako is mindful about her skin and takes good care of it where and when she can. It is rather soft to the touch, save for the odd scar. There are also trace callouses on her hands, that which she often moisturizes to prevent their building overmuch. #oclore

Hinako: Actually just "Shugenja" for all three roles with shifts in emphasis on her actions: more support for healing, more damage for DPS, and specialized barriers to serve as armor for her tanking. Vision One: Via advanced tech, a more classic all-rounder with ⚔️ VPR, 🛡 GNB and ⛑️ SGE. #oclore

Hooooly crap that was white-knuckled. The Flames scored a massive lead in the 1300 range while we tangled at the beach with Adders, but we managed to crawl our way to meet them. It was repeated back and forth on the lead with the Flames while avoiding the Adders, but we did it. Ough. #hinavpvp

As an addendum to weapons question, maybe it's not constant but it follows that Hinako at least sometimes has an axe?? Specifically a handaxe that lines up with her work with botany and as a shugenja. Not specifically a weapon either but by its very nature has potential.

The shakujo Hinako traditionally carries is foremost an arcane focus as well as an aid for hikes, but it IS built to also be an effective bludgeon in a pinch. Moreover, she keeps a Hingan tantō, a family heirloom—more for practical mundane and ritual use than actual combat or self-defense. #oclore

Hinako stands at the upmost end of the average fem Au Ra; maybe even slightly taller, pushing 5-fulm-4. For her it's extremely normal, and she's hardly given it second thought. The only time where it was a bit glaring was after joining RISK, where most of the active members tower over her. #oclore

While Hinako began with an inclination toward her right hand, she had to learn her ambidexterity from a young age, as it would be pertinent for her duty; most evident in controlling her elemental and talismanic magicks in tandem. Ever since, she occasionally swaps hands for mundane tasks. #oclore

In Yanxia, no locals were directly affected, but the Calamity would have a latent global reach. Waves of energy dispersed from the event caused mass instability in the aether, provoking spirits and demons that would surely collect their blood price from Hinako and her peers ere all was said. #oclore

A core practice of shugendo is seeking spiritual actualization through immersive ritual in nature, which includes travel into mountainous reaches punctuated by rugged living with little to no comfort. It is a thing Hinako is intimately familiar with after years of practicing shugendo. #oclore

Hinako is so replete of aether and control over it that aetheryte-based travel is, strictly speaking, non-issue for her. DOES she use typically use it? Hardly, unless timing is of import. By her reasoning, you lose something vital when you separate the journey from the destination. #oclore

Hinako's name sounds effectively how it looks: hee-nah-koh da-ee (coming together to sound similar to "dye")-goh. The trick is generally how the syllables are evenly stressed, versus for instance overemphasizing the "na" sound. #oclore

Honestly it would probably devastate Hinako beyond reckoning, as if she couldn't use magic again then she'd likely have also lost all her connection with the kami and spirits. She has the practical knowledge and skill to keep helping, like as an apothecary or priest, but she'd never be the same.

090

Hina ⛩️ @rasenkaikyo.etheirys.social · 30/09/2026

Hinako is a shugenja, a disciple of magic at a glance not dissimilar to white mage, but has an underlying nuance. She has been practicing shugendo in conjunction with her duties for roughly two decades and has proved quite deft at it, although as a child she first wanted to be a samurai. #oclore

Much of Hinako's skill was learned to underline her work as a priest and shugenja, by working with nature; with knowledge in botany, conducting the work of an apothecary (ALC/CUL) and making trinkets (GSM). The one skill she has that isn't related is weaving, which she picked up as a hobby. #oclore

Hinako will almost always kick off her days with light stretches and meditation, something she tends to be up before the crack of dawn for due to the liminality of it, as well as tea and a small offering of some kind for the kami. How she follows this start up depends on the specific day. #oclore
