Arrived today: The Kenny Everett Video Show (it was on offer at Amazon), and The Doctor Who Production Diary - The Troughton Years (which is somehow twice as long as it's Hartnell Years predecessor!)
Photo of DVD boxset The Kenny Everett Video Show. The main image is a collage of Kenny surrounded by him as his comedy characters. There is a red-stamped 'Warning! May feature naughty bits' printed beneath. Next to the DVD is a book, The Doctor Who Production Diary - The Troughton Years by David Brunt. There is a close-up of Patrick Troughton's face, as The 2nd Doctor on the front cover, surrounded by swirly lines.Photo of two editions of The Doctor Who Production Diary both by David Brunt - The Hartnell Years, with a photo of William Hartnell's face in close-up as The 1st Doctor, surrounded by swirly things & The Troughton Years by. Today is the anniversary of The Battle of Hastings. It was good to see The Bayeux Tapestry in person on Saturday (10/10). After seeing it on TV/in books I was able to pay more attention to the details. I liked seeing the embroidery. I have questions like: why are there so many naked people on there!
Photo of two books: The Bayeux Tapestry fold-out edition, and The Bayeux Tapestry British Museum exhibition guide.

Not officially doing #Shocktober, but so far watched 2 'new' films. Not strictly horror, but Wes Craven directed Red Eye. It was enjoyable. The Substance was good social commentary, & body-horror, with some scenes I'll never forget.

I continued my re-watch of I, Claudius last night. This episode contains my favourite scene from the series: Augustus shouting, "Is there anyone in Rome who has not slept with my daughter?"

Or in the UK, I rented a VHS of The Last Outpost & Where No One Has Gone Before, after randomly spotting it in Blockbuster. I didn't understand it, or like it. I forgot all about it until September 1990 when BBC2 showed Season 1! Now, I couldn't live without TNG in my life.

Why do I always associate Sunday nights with comedy? (I was first shown on a Saturday). But growing up it was always something on ITV: Spitting Image, Hale & Pace, and The New Statesman etc. The last bit of fun before returning to school on Monday morning.

I found myself in my town's library yesterday. I casually browsed the graphic novel, and Manga sections. I spotted All You Need Is Kill (based on the novel).
