Cover reveal! Kevin Hiley's artwork for our upcoming 'Holiday Special.'
Artwork in the style of a 1970s K-Tel compilation album (that are known for sometimes using poor cover versions of hit songs, to save money). In the top left corner is written: Stereo. May be used on mono. On the top right corner is written: over two hours of fun! In the centre is the 'I Don't Do Sci-Fi': The Podcast Series - The Holiday Special. 70s as seen on TV! Surrounding this is a swirl of colours above a wire-frame planet. Names appear amongst this swirl of Disco-colours: Michael Sheard, Diane Cilento, Richard Briers, Sheila Mercer, Geoffrey Bayldon, Lesley Judd, Paula Wilcox, Bruce Forsyth. At the bottom of the image is a text box: It's not brown enough. Dani watches 1970s television. Now in colour.

Here's something else that @min3rvas0wl.bsky.social and Dani talked about in our #Stargate episode: The Eye of the Pharaoh by Iain Smyth, 'a pop-up whodunnit.' Has anyone else read this book?
The Eye of the Pharaoh by Iain Smyth, 'a pop-up whodunnit.' Front cover. It shows the inside of an Egyptian tomb with a sarcophagus laid down. There the silhouettes of three people looking at it. Surrounding them are pictures of various people - the characters/suspects in the book. The Eye of the Pharaoh by Iain Smyth, 'a pop-up whodunnit.' A page called 'Into the Pyramid' - a group of people inside a tunnel/corridor in a pyramid. It's dark, so they're all carrying either a flaming torch or battery torch. There are hieroglyphics on the wall. A page from The Eye of the Pharaoh by Iain Smyth, 'a pop-up whodunnit.' 'The opening of the Tomb.' Charcaters stood outside the ornate/hieroglyphic covered closed doors of a pyramid. Two people are studying the door, while others look on, including one with a camera photographing what they're doing.A page from The Eye of the Pharaoh by Iain Smyth, 'a pop-up whodunnit.' An actual pop-up page titled, 'The Evidence.' The pop-up is the inside of the Tomb - with the sarcophagus, and Charcaters stood around it in the chamber.

I Don't Do Sci-Fi - the podcast series, Season 2, Episode 3: "One's never alone with a rubber duck." Dani watches The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. The main image is a montage and of people and things from the BBC TV adaptation of The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (1981). In the centre is a disgusted/perteberd man wearing a dressing gown over pyjamas - this is Arthur Dent (played by Simon Jones). Beneath him are written the words: This is of course impossible. Surrounding him are: a yellow fish - the Babel Fish, an animal's head on a platter with an apple in it's mouth - this is the Dish of the Day, a tablet-like device - the titular Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (on it's screen are the words: Don't Panic!), and mouse, a weird-shaped glass with an exotic drink - this is a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster (which drinking it is like having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a gold brick), a neon sign for 'Milliways' (The Restaurant at the End of the Universe), a multi-armed alien - a Jatravartid holding a few deodorant spray cans, the logo of Disaster Area - generally regarded as not only the loudest rock band in the Galaxy, but also the loudest noise of any kind at all, a mathematical symbol for infinity(?), two fried eggs on slices of bread, a roughly humanoid-shaped robot - Marvin the Paranoid Android (who has a brain the size of a planet - thinking down to our level gives him a headache!), a squadron of red, and green arrows in formation representing space fleets of the G'Guvuntts, and the Vl'Hurgs, the words 'forty' and 'two' in circluar/wooden tiles laid out like Scrabble, a sperm whale, and a pie-chart split into 3 equal looking sections: Thinkers, Doers, Middle Men.
