They asked around the staff but none could be found. In the end they bought a new set from Woolworths in Ilkeston which were made available to Ms. Rantzen. At the end of the day, the rollers could not be found. It was assumed that the broadcaster took them with her. We will now probably never know.

My personal memory of Esther Rantzen are the efforts made by the management of The American Adventure Theme Park to secure for her, the use of a set of heated hair rollers when she appeared at a BBC Fast Forward Live Day in the 90s to accept a cheque on behalf of Childline.

In Irwin Allen's 'Return of Captain Nemo' (1978), evil Burgess Meredith's submarine The Raven was cobbled together from #Space1999 model kits. Engines & frame from an Eagle. Nose-cone from a Hawk. It ran for 3 episodes and also featured murky water that wouldn't be seen until Thames Water was formed

Tonight's #EastEnders is a complete trauma fest about the terrifying emotional shock that forms from sudden bereavement. Although it's not an easy watch, the cast rise to the challenge especially Jesse Wallace. The show is so lucky to have her and the rest of Slaters.
