It looks like passing on the right w/o giving a metre is still permissible

Bicycle overtaking a vehicle
(1) A cyclist who is overtaking a vehicle on the left or driving past a vehicle stopped on
the main travelled way on the left must keep at least 1 m between the bicycle and
the vehicle.
(2) A cyclist travelling on the far-right side or the right-hand shoulder of a roadway
may drive past a vehicle on the vehicle’s right only if it is safe to do so.

When I rode to the hospital today, I forgot my bike lock. Fortunately no thief noticed that the abandoned lock on the bike rack was not attached to the bike 😊. #bikehfx

"Establishing bike lane rules (e.g., a bike must yield to traffic when exiting a bike lane).   When overtaking a vehicle, a bicycle must maintain at least 1 metre distance. " If I'm reading this right this would make the painted lanes on north park useless

I'll switch routes on bad days and take the lane (rut) on a side street very slowly. Surprisingly I've never caught any rage from drivers for this.
