I think that's a perfectly fair review of the movie, to be honest.

Picked up The Peddler's Prize from @graftbound.bsky.social last week. Been too afraid to use the sheets that come with the book so I made one of my own? Not sure how that will affect the experience. But I've read the book and can't wait to give this a shot either way! #solottrpg #ttrpg

HI, I'm getting top surgery but it's very expensive. I don't like asking for donations for something cosmetic, especially when others have real needs. If you're interested in helping, all I ask is try out my deckbuilding website Commander Template, and if you like it consider subscribing for $5.

I have to go back and watch to reassess because I only watched the dub growing up and enjoyed it. But I agree Pazu could have been handled better. Probably would have been vastly improved if they just toned everyone back a little. Except Hamill. No notes there.

4. Cars 3 After watching bits of cars 2 with my son I was absolutely ready to write this finale off. I was pleasantly surprised that this movie was drastically different compared to Cars 2, and very much for the better. This should have been the sequel as far as I'm concerned.

3. Castle in the Sky Watched thanks to @eyeoftheduckpod.com Ghibli mini series. Watched in Japanese for the first time. Amazed how quiet the movie is. More pauses between dialogue. Fewer grunts and reactions. I almost didn't recognize the music because it took up more space this time. Loved it.

2. Anastasia Haven't honestly watched this in years and I remember liking it more. The songs are very solid tho. Given this is during Disney's heyday it's impressive. I wish the movie took itself more seriously, because when it gets goofy it really falls flat.

1. Fistful of Dollars I really wanted to like this movie more than I did. And I think it's credit to this movie that so many cliches and standards are (presumably) formed in this movie. But having no history with the movie it felt like "been there, done that." That said the movie is gorgeous.

Singaporean artist Leia Ham reimagined LotR as Tale of the Middle Kingdom, since Chinese name for China (Zhōngguó) means "The Middle Kingdom." Her concept art includes the Fellowship, armors, buildings like Bag End, props like Aragorn's banner and Fellowship brooches, and more. #TolkienTrewsday

An illustration of the Fellowship, reimagined with Chinese-style period outfits.

An illustration of armors of Gondor, Rohan, and Rivendell Elves, reimagined using different periods of Chinese armors as concepts. On the top right are three side profiles of Rohan man, Gondorian, and Elf with different Chinese hairstyles. On the bottom right is Aragorn's banner redrawn with Chinese influence.

A concept art of Bag End reimagined as Chinese court houses, with tall stone gates, round wooden doors, curved roofs, and open courtyard, nestled in a hill.

A concept art of Rivendell in the style of Chinese painting. Next to it are several props drawn in Chinese style such as Fellowship brooch based on gingko leaves, lembas in the shape of mooncake, Elfstone as round jade, Galadriel's phial in a green jade bottle, and shards of Narsil.

3. Treasure Planet I'm always a sucker for sky pirates and airships. Throw in some unabashed early 00s vibes and an unlikely father figure dynamic and I'm pretty much up for anything. All that aside, it's a pretty solid movie.
