The PLA could not muster enough fires to contend with a 2nd line US force of HIMARS and ATACMS. The ADF M1s swept away the remnants. ADF 155mm howitzers, and a PLA HQ-16B were the two respective MVPs of this fight. LC is always an incredible play and reminder that future war is just as brutal.

The PLA is gearing up their 2nd wave attack against a fortified position near Port Moresby. Will it hold for the ADF/US to potentially counterattack with M1A1’s, or will the Allies finally crumble? @sebastianbae.bsky.social ‘Southern Sentinels’ LC: Australia

Watching #Gettysburg on the dates of the movie/battle. We love watching this movie during July 4 holiday and decided to watch day by day for the first time. Sam Elliot as Gen Buford is so good

Hunt for Blackbeard is such a fun game. The cat and mouse and guessing elements along with a little fog make this a gem. High replay ability as well. Great job to @volko.bsky.social and the @fortcircle.bsky.social team.

Tumultuous seas, ineffective air cover, and poor cooperation between AUS and US forces spelled doom as PLAN forces showered ADF/US bases around Port Darwin with long range/ballistic/bomber strikes in @sebastianbae.bsky.social LC: Australia.

I’m really enjoying @gmtgames.bsky.social Vietnam 1965-1975. The Battle of Dak To attrited US forces but not by enough. Remaining FWA mopped up VC battalions and the Allies pulled off the W for the Masher Op.

1162

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 08/03/2026

Nam is a great game and forces players to make quick decisions in the game of a PAVN forces that can come at them from anywhere.

010

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 08/03/2026

We continue our journey into tabletop wargaming with Nam. The PAVN almost collapsed into the US and ARVN forces but quick work by a Cobra and Loach (Pink team), Marine Recon and ARVN infantry saved the day.

My first miniatures ever as we venture into tabletop miniatures gaming. These are the Blackhorse Cavalry M113s for ‘Nam by Battlefront. This Mortar team is #33 and #32 for Bird and McHale because they are gonna drop buckets all over the place 🍀

Charlie Wilson’s War is a great Cold War film. The parallels with UKR are obvious but don’t gloss over the unique CW history and war in Afghanistan. The soft power, covert, and political nature of war during this period is instructive for today. Also, incredible cast just nailing lines. 7 🥃 ‘s

VC victory in ‘69. US wiped out in the Highlands w/ ARVN forces in disarray in the Mekong/Saigon area. The US ‘surge’ of troops was the turning point for the people of South Vietnam and a horrible decision strategically. Typhoon Kate and the NVA/VC forces finished the job. KIA by the Trung bot.

Saigon fell to the VC and the popular uprising.

141

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

The Easter Offensive was brutal as the US could not reposition its forces. Both sides took massive losses but the NVA held on.

131

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

The US surge secured key areas but the NVA is on the move and rumors of an Easter Offensive are getting loud.

010

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

The VC blew up; literally. Tet exploded throughout SV after massive recruitment from the turn before. Fuled by popular unrest and the surge by US forces and it was a recipe for disaster. ARVN/US forces have a hill to climb.

021

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

It’s 1967 and the US command has to make a tough decision. Quang Nam and Da Nang are surrounded. But the US has options. Do they: 1. Surge and commit more troops for another two years to hold off the NVA and stop the invasion. 2. Pull out troops, establish a border and go for a political win

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 18/05/2025

We Are Coming, Nineveh by @nutspublishing.bsky.social is a wonderful game. Every game is different with plans going awry real fast. I had the Old City (Mosul) on lock before Daesh tunneled out with another unit reforming in my rear creating a giant breach in my perimeter.

082

Eric Brammer @scuttlethefleet.bsky.social · 10/04/2025

Full on air combat broke out on the Oresund Strait after a dramatic gun/missile exchange occurred in the Kattegat between a US JF and a Russian fleet supported by cyber/air cover. @sebastianbae.bsky.social LC: The Baltic is incredible. The Russian fleet died south of Copenhagen but it was tense.

A crisis in Korea along with several layered cyber and EMS attacks left TF San Fran crippled and ultimately sunk. The PLAN overwhelmed Singapore and the USMC had little to say about it. The PRC are the King of the Straits…today. @sebastianbae.bsky.social

Decided to give the Bismarck a run in @gmtgames.bsky.social Atlantic Chase’s Operation:Rhine scenario. An incredibly hard solo and mission. One wrong choice and disaster but even right choices can end in failure! In the end, Eugene sank but a damaged Bismarck made it to Brest.

Safely back in port @Brest. A little worse for wear. One magazine blown and a salvo taken but she survived.

The Atlantic was busy and the chase was on
