The campaign for Lonely Timbers is chugging along nicely so I thought I would talk about the game's origins. This game was originally born from the GameChef competition back in 2017 where we were encouraged to design games around the themes of borders, both literal and metaphorical.

A peek at Hell to Raise: Every fire is full of bones, and smells of burnt marrow and grease. The sky is the color of mud. It is always twilight. The land is dry and dusty, full of hedgerows that you don’t want to get lost in. The deep ditches between fields and roads contain hellhounds. (1/2)

At CIGS yesterday I had a person refer to Velvet Glove as a "unicorn" - a game they desperately wanted to buy and haven't been able to. Velvet Glove is currently under development with a publisher. Which means the official version will be coming out! We're currently in editing, but more news soon!

Last night someone referred to In the Pines as my lesbian coded game, and well, they’re not wrong. I’m just not sure it’s gayer than Velvet Glove. I think the ages of the characters might make a difference. There’s plenty of make outs in both games, but the identities are different.
