I was looking for something about agricultural diets but found this Victorian version of the Distracted Boyfriend meme

It's random photograph time again! Whitby, St Mary's. Ear trumpets on the pulpit of 1748. They were fixed there in the early C19 for the benefit of the Rector's wife, who was deaf, and were connected to her ears by rubber tubes.
