Australia's social media ban is also driven way more by a concern for primary school kids than it is high schoolers. It's beside the point that 14 year olds will "get around it", the ban was designed to help kids born in 2016 more than it was kids born in 2012.

I get the strong sense that the bulk of media are calling Starmer's position on Iran entirely wrongly right now. I simply don't believe that most people out there are either as hawkish as the Tories or as anti-everything as the Greens. Being conflicted in the middle seems about right to me.

Yeah, Reform did what they needed to here, which was pretty much completely eat the Tory vote of about 30%. That they are spinning out shows they are slightly high on their own supply, but also that they want to play dirty and brook no opposition.

Tbf I’ve been travelling for years from London to Sydney and back on an Aus passport (I have Irish). You still scan it, they know you’re in the country. It’s not like you’re somehow jumping through the barricades at Heathrow waving an Aussie passport
