Last year, the girls saved Ireland. This year, it's the gays. Gwan the faithfuls! #traitorsirl

Obviously pure fluke that these lads were able to catch any traitors up to now. Howwwww are they so easily distracted when both traitors have been HANDED to them on a plate, and instead get rid of the one guy who copped the obvious #traitorsIRL

So sorry for your loss. I've never met you or your cat, but I know exactly how heartbroken you must be. I had to make the same awful decision about a year ago, with my little dog Páidín. It's unbearable 💔

Guff on the timeline like "They shouldn't have banished Sean A just for being annoying". Seafóid. Always better to lose eegits with poor judgement. They make woeful roundtable contributions and can swing votes the wrong way with their horseshit theories #traitorsirl

I won't be quite rid of my heatwave anxiety until there's a bit of a nip in the air and I find myself asking "Jaysis, do I need to throw on a geansaí?"... but. There was a proper downpour in my corner of Meath this evening, and it's hard to overstate how genuinely overjoyed I was.

Yesterday evening, I put a breadboard under a hot paella pan so that it wouldn't scorch the kitchen table, and now there are yellow stains on the breadboard from paella spills. Saffron, you golden minx!

"Telling others they don’t have a monopoly on compassion when they’re begging you to care is a bit like showing up at Heuston Station with a Thomas the Tank Engine toy in your hand and ranting at an Iarnród Éireann staff member about how they don’t have a monopoly on the railroads." Surrealing:

This is why cities need trees. Hard surfaces and parked cars can reach extreme temperatures, while shaded grass and tree-covered areas stay dramatically cooler. This is the urban heat island effect in one image: hard surfaces absorb and radiate heat, while vegetation and shade reduce it.

Googling Stuff: Then v Now.
This title if the comic is ‘Googling Stuff…’
The comic shows two columns: on the left is “Then” showing search results with one thing listed as “the thing you want”

On the right column is ‘Now’ - also showing search results but in this case it’s a whole bunch of stuff you don’t need:

Be sure to use Al when making your next, I don't know, meal plan, for example. Definitely do not call your friend who loves to cook and ask her for her favorite recipes or tips or ways to save time making meals, because you will end
up talking for longer than you had hoped, hearing, perhaps, about her father's cancer diagnosis or how lonely she's been or even what she's planted in her spring garden and then lost with the early frost.

We met in Kitty O'Shea's night club in Roscommon town. I often thought of you after to see how you got on no mobile phones that time. I think it could have been late 80s or early 90s.
