If you think you’re on the left but are arguing against universality principles in state pensions and child benefit, then you aren’t actually on the left. We all benefit when people have an interest in how the welfare state functions.

Always striking to me that in the UK it would almost seem insanely luxurious for government services to have offices where you can just go and talk to someone, but it's normal in the other places I'm exposed to (US/France/Germany/Ireland/Israel)

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
