Reading these comments are worth your time. Upsetting to learn today that Harvard is dismantling its Writing Center and is laying off Jane Rosenzweig, its long-time director. Student voices here show what is lost in a move like this, and what an institution gains in a well led writing center.

Saturday night wharf light in southwest Nova Scotia. Since childhood this has been one of my favourite sunset viewing platforms.
Several posts of a wooden wharf overlook a coastal scene that includes a deep orange sunset, trees, and ocean grasses reflected in the still water.

Monday night light. I stumbled upon a peaceful spot that looked like a magical portal to another world.
Green trees crowding out surrounding light and giving a green and black cast to the surrounding forest are reflected in a river, their branches bent in such a way as to create a semi circle from which yellow light seems to emanate in a spot that appears perfect for fairies.

I was searching my photos for something and stumbled upon this one from last July. This is a quick walk from where my mom lives, in a tiny Acadian village here in Nova Scotia where at least 3 generations of her maternal line grew up. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Can't wait to visit again.
A winding coastline dotted with sea grasses and rock is seen under a vibrant orange and yellow sunset, the silhouettes of trees visible in the distance and a seagull barely visible above the water.
