I also think one of the issues too is this was the first horrible act caught live on TV with a 24hr news cycle. So there's so much video of it that it's almost impossible to avoid seeing it over and over again which can be very like overstimulating for people.

He broke his hip. I bet you. My mom just went through hip replacement and a whole host of issues regarding it and had to spend time in a rehab place. He fell down and broke his hip. And because of the polio has probably extra mobility issues and isn't fit to be home because of it.
