There is minimal language protecting taxpayers from electric rate hikes on sites that produce power (this is the microgrid portion of the bill) but no such protections from data centers that do NOT produce their own power. There are NO watershed protections.

For those who don't know, WV is a Republican super-majority right now. Out of 100 delegates, only nine (9!) are Democrats. Out of 34 state senators, only two (2!) are Democrats. Last session, legislation was approved (HB2014) that gave the state control conplete control of approving data centers.
