i thought we were over this topic in 2026 but i then saw a big cat acc on insta talk to another big cat acc about how cats only need meat because it meets their nutritional needs. so if you can make cats meet them by feeding them supplemented vegan food, they're gonna be okay. i was so flabbergasted

oh my gosh i just remembered how in the 3rd grade i was looking for a cool book to borrow from my school library and i stumbled upon a book about how to take care of parrots. and i took it home and was so fascinated that not only did i now want a parrot, but i also decided to make a blog about them.

love ed ruscha's 'the end' series

These are all Ed Ruscha's artworks titled 'The End'. Most of the pieces in this collection do have a number, but some are just referred to by the year they were made in. These particular four are 'The End' #40 (first picture), #37 (third picture) and 1998-2016 (fourth picture, it's actually a piece from a set of 4 holograms and he made more similar sets during that time, this one comes from one that has a very mysterious and whimsical colour palette of mostly purples and blues; wish I could say more about the technique). The second one is from 1991. This series is all about typography; all the artworks just say 'The End'. #40 and 1991 are essentially brief moments between two frames. #40 had a background that reminds me of an almost clear sky, with 'THE END' being both in a simple font and uppercase. 1991 is kind of similar - 'The End' in this medieval typescript on a cold, gray background that is very reminiscent of concrete. #37 is just this perfect and rich blue background with 'END' written on it in a lighter shade of blue. Even more minimalistic. Then, this one piece from the whimsical purple set just screams whimsigoth. Again, a medieval typescript that's a little bit blurry on the edges and the background looks a bit like watching some microorganisms under a microscope- beautiful but a bit unsettling. It has this anxiety-inducing aura to me. All pieces have these purposeful imperfections to make them mimic these Old Hollywood films. I attach some links to help you get some better descriptions. I'm not very good at this.

b doesn't want to eat her renal food. i've tried everything, i keep mixing it into her fav food - it doesn't work. she can smell it and won't try to eat it unless she's starving (which often means 8-12h since her last meal). and she won't touch it even then when the the ratio is higher than 1:1

blaire is on her way back from the vet, she had some blood work done and we'll have the results tomorrow but other than that, she is a healthy baby. we got extra tests to be able to go to a cardiologist because she's 6 and still has never had her heart checked (unless she did when she was a baby)
