Why is the expression of grief often more raw for pets than for people? For myself, I think it is my early social programming. I was shown that the story of my my grief was that it must be hidden, even from myself. Otherwise I was being weak, childish, disrespectful, lazy, and selfish.

Had a great Old World game with the Night Goblins taking on the Hochland as I teach a friend the game. As always the contagious panic hurt my poor Ld 5 Gobbos who spent most of the game running away.

An Old World board set up with a game in progress. The board shows some farmland with scattered buildings and a crossroads. An Empire Hochland army in red and green advances while Night Goblin advanced units (squigs and a reckless giant) rush to meet them.

A unit of Empire Great swords charge into a pack of squigs, easily cutting through them and pushing forwards.

Two thin units of Hochland handgunners advance slowly, securing a deadly firing line against the greenskin advance.

Squig Hoppers charge into the Empire Militia and light cavalry units.
