I feel like boycotting Harry Potter stuff is such bare minimum shit that it just fucking exhausts me that it's such a constant subject of discourse. If you give a shit about trans people, don't give JK Rowling your money. There's really no further productive discussion to be had about it.

If the first paragraph of this story had one word changed: "The only [heart] clinic in Wales has cancelled all of its operations over concerns that too many people were being referred for treatment." the absurdity of the "concerns" would be obvious. People are being treated! The horror!

Too often, the public conversation gives the impression that one narrow viewpoint speaks for all women. It doesn't. Over 100,000 UK women have already signed our letter because they believe in fairness, inclusion and treating trans+ people with kindness, compassion, and inclusively. Join us.
“The majority of women are trans-inclusive, or are happy just living their lives alongside trans people without any concern. However, we are being ignored – by politicians and the media – in preference to a small, loud, group of ‘gender critical’ anti-trans lobbyists masquerading as ‘feminists’.”

No one should face exclusion or discrimination because of who they are. The Green Party stands in solidarity with the trans community and will keep fighting for equality that includes everyone.
Quote graphic from Rachel Millward co-deputy leader that reads. The EHRC's guidance sets a dangerous precedent. In its current form, it is appalling and risks legitimising bigotry, harassment and violence. The Green Party stands in solidarity with the trans community. The guidance must be withdrawn, and the government must act to fix our equality laws so they protect the rights, dignity and safety of everyone.

These messages are from UK women who know that behind every headline is a human being who deserves kindness, dignity and joy. We hope these words bring even a small moment of comfort to trans+ people in the UK today. 💗 #WithTheT #NotInOurName
I'm appalled that the lives of trans people have been used as a political football, to score points by raising a faux moral panic. The politicians and media types who have done this to you, for their own gain, need to be held to account by society.

Trans rights are human rights and it's time everyone came together to protect them. I can't imagine the fear this has caused to you and your community. The fact that trans people are ostracized and even criminalised just for living their lives is a stain on our country. This is not in my name.
I stand with you. xxxEveryone should be free to be who they want to be, and that is a world I will strive towards.

You are unique and beautiful. You are wanted, loved and appreciated. The strength and resilience you demonstrate everyday is awe inspiring.

Thank you for being yourself xxxYour sisters will stand with you, not just today but every single day, until we win! An attack on one of us, is an attack on all of us and your existence matters.

All my love, a Cis Black sister xxx

While every saving has to be welcomed it is an insult to say you are helping people with an annual saving of £45 when you could choose to make a significant change but are beholden to the private companies. £45 a year is about 86p a week or 12p a day.

I think I’d prefer a policy that takes the profit and shareholder payments out and keeps some revenue for the government. That would reduce the price cap by considerably more than a measly £45 and would keep revenue for things like the NHS. apple.news/AOO0S9g2tSB2...

Keep writing to your MP. If they respond in a trans supportive manner but won’t sign as it’s ’not an effective tool’ remind them that they will have scared trans constituents who won’t have written to them and therefore not heard their supportive position. By signing they publicly show support.
