Both. The invite tree accountability makes people more judicious about bringing in solid people, the early suspensions of bad accounts increased trust/confidence about commitment to safety, and the smaller community feels safer too. I do get nervous for #s going up & harassment campaigns starting

When someone with ADHD doesn’t respond, there are several reasons why: 1. We didn’t see it, our inboxes are often a mess. 2. We have forgotten. 3. We know we have to respond but have a difficult time connecting the dots to make it happen. This sends us into a cycle of shame.

So muting a thread doesn’t mean you won’t see that thread on your skyline, it means you won’t receive notifications on the thread if you’re in it. So to not see long threads in the skyline, one must mute accounts. Which is a bummer because I like those folks, I just hate the long confusing threads.
