One of the things I know about writing is this: spend it all, shoot it, play it, lose it, all, right away, every time. Do not hoard what seems good for a later place in the book or for another book; give it, give it all, give it now. The impulse to save something good for a better place later is the signal to spend it now. Something more will arise for later, something better. These things fill from behind, from beneath, like well water. Similarly, the impulse to keep to yourself what you have learned is not only shameful, it is destructive. Anything you do not give freely and abundantly becomes lost to you. You open your safe and find ashes.

One of my fave micro-genres of horror is "unspeakable thing trying really hard to pass for something normal, and getting it like 87% right." Stephen King's "From a Buick 8." The backrooms. Ancient fables where the devil/witches look human except for one hoof. Mimicry is predator stuff. OMINOUS.

Ryne's fingers are steepled. Scars from combat overpractice scatter over exposed arms. Tan lines remain from the white dress that would normally conceal the scars.

Erichthonios's arms are crossed, somewhat self-conscious without customary warder's robes and the weight of crystals hanging off a waist chain.

Both are smiling, wearing shirts that say: THERAPY IS NOT ENOUGH I NEED TO FIGHT MY DAD

Can't remember if I've posted this one, but it's one of my personal favourites. (In response to a wolqotd, hence the smartphone) #FFXIV

WoL in jail, hands around the bars
WoL: How dare you arrest me? Don't you know who I am?!
Guard, stoic and long-suffering: I'm sorry sir, but even the Warrior of Light must obey our city's laws

WoL: We'll see about that... [speaking into his phone] Hello? Admiral? Your Yellowjacket goons threw me in jail! Do something!
WoL sticks his hand through the bars, handing the phone to the guard: She wants to talk to you.

The guard takes the phone: Aye aye ma'am, I understand. Will do.
Guard, putting down the phone: She said to double your sentence. Also to confiscate your phone.
WoL: Godsdamnit, Merlwyb!!

This is what I’m talking about. All this does is silence rape victims, silence the discussion around rape as a concept. We can maim, kill, flay and murder as much as we want, but the second there’s rape, we have to clutch it up and hide it so no one can utter a word

It will never stop being funny to me that the street fighter subreddit has a much better, well reasoned ai policy vis a vis literally all universities.

Hi, thanks for posting! We do appreciate you thinking of us even though we have to moderate.

Our stance on all AI generated content (Images, Video, Voiceovers, and whatever else LLM based AI gets up to in the future):

At best, they are approximations of street fighter characters as the AI has no clue what it is trying to create. Because of this, there is no street fighter content so they are not allowed. (rule 1)

Also, they aren't allowed per our source rule. As AI sources cannot be tracked, we must assume that they use uncredited sources in the learning data. (rule 5)

Finally, AI images, video, text, and voiceovers are barely any different than posting a screenshot of a google search. The level of effort is so low that we consider it spam (rule 3).

Because of these reasons, AI art and other AI content is not allowed.

If you would like to contact the moderators about this removal, you can do so here.
