1) Putin doesn't have diesel to spare. 2) Diesel is cover for lifting sanctions. 3) Putin's statement sounds like he's offering an Iran escape hatch, which I've been predicting. 4) Half of the MASSIVE bribes Putin is offering now don't exist. 5) But he does mention security coop -- Kash.

Pretty dishonest for Puck to describe Supreme Court expansion as an "unpopular position that could motivate the GOP base and alienate independents" when *the very same post* cites a poll finding support for expansion at +6 overall and +12 among independents puck.news/the-dems-cou...
Interestingly, the most recent discussions are being driven by centrists hoping to preempt a more radicalbacklash. Third Way, the center-left think tank, is urging moderate Democrats to back common-sensereforms to prevent the left from pushing court expansion, an unpopular position that could motivate theG.O.P. base and alienate independents. Instead, Third Way executive
Lanae Erickson
is suggesting thatDems pass legislation that would place 18-year term limits on justices—a cadence that would eventually leadto the appointment of two new justices every presidential term. The proposed reforms would allow thosewho have completed a full term to step in and hear cases on the lower court, or when a justice recusesthemselves from a case. “If we are going to win in 2028, we have to show that we can meet voters wherethey are in terms of their level of anger and their desire for reforms,” said Erickson. “I think if the center left isseen as just aligned with the establishment, saying
Let’s just put things back together the way they were ayear and a half ago—
we’re going to get beat by the bigger ideas on the left.”

Judge Sorokin orders vindictive-selective prosecution discovery & disclosure of grand jury minutes for Ksenia Petrova, the frog embryo researcher. "Credible showing [she] was prosecuted due to her status as Harvard-affiliated researcher & J1 visa holder." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
They, in turn, reproduce under-oath statements made by a longtime customs
attorney in Petrova's federal habeas proceedings, which also concerned the events at issue in this
case. Doc. No. 45 at 13. The attorney had provided a sworn declaration attesting that, during his thirty-five-year career, he was not aware of any person having been prosecuted for smuggling without having been processed by customs officers for a "failure to declare" violation, nor could
he recall ever seeing smuggling charges brought for failing to declare a research sample
regardless of the traveler's willfulness. Id.; Doc. No. 67 at 22 (quoting same declaration). In the
circumstances presented, the foregoing suffices to satisfy Petrova's burden of supplying "some
evidence" of discriminatory effect as the relevant caselaw requires. The cited declaration
comprises a credible showing that Petrova was prosecuted due to her status as a Harvard-affiliated researcher and J-1 visa holder-
facts which "some evidence" before the Court also
shows placed her in the crosshairs of those presently controlling the Executive Branch. E.g., Doc. No. 67-2 (referencing visa and "educated individuals with a pedigree"); Doc. No. 67-4 at 5 (responding to "fake news" and mentioning Petrova's affiliation with Harvard); see also Doc.
No. 67 at 9-10 (describing context in which Petrova's case arose and actions targeting Harvard
and higher-education-related visa holders). The same declaration also credibly shows that other
travelers who have willfully failed to declare research samples or similar items but were not
Harvard-affiliated visa holders were not treated the same way.

Auto transcription (I was curious, sharing for access. Agree this is fantastic.)
Screenshot of a transcript. It says: “Exactly right, but I want to say a couple things. One thing about cities that I found in this reporting: cities are very unfairly labeled as these problem centers by Donald Trump and others. And one thing is worth remembering: if you look at the population of well, all people in cities, particularly people who come to cities from elsewhere, but particularly homeless and other vulnerable people in cities, look at youth homeless. A pretty large chunk of those people who end up in cities were failed in some other parts of this country. Okay, in the fraction of youth homeless who are LGBTQ, whatever, pretty high. So there are a lot of families in this country who fail the first duty of family, which is to love your kids more than any other thing, and there's a lot of families in this country that look at some verse in some book, and their child's face, and choose theSecond screenshot says: “verse in the book over their child's face, and drive their children out of Nebraska or out of Florida or out of Idaho, and those kids come to San Francisco, and those kids come to New York, and those kids go to Chicago, and we have friends giving dinners with them. You live in L.A. You are surrounded by people who have those kind of stories, and so cities. Every time someone is sleeping on a subway bench in a city, the rest of America can sort of say, "Ah, look at these cities.” But we are holding a lot of your people who you fail to love and take care of.
