Found out a family left a phone recording (audio only) while I was doing a procedure in a patient room. I'm not at all worried, because I'm not an ass hole to patients ever--but that's just gross and weird. End rant.

I have kind of an interesting dilemma for all my medical folks. My good friend has a medically complex kid trach/vent/g-tube etc. He's outlived his life expectancy by YEARS and is doing great Her son asked why someone should go on life support (heard it somewhere).

We emptied all the frozen veggies from the freezer into a massive Tupperware, along with the rest of the chicken burgers cut up, the last of a bag of rice, the rest of the Japanese barbecue sauce and are calling it meal prep for the week (well, the first few days). 🤷🏻‍♀️

Something that caused significant stress for a patient this week. Instructions: Take 1000 mg of acetaminophen every 8 hours. Patient sent home with 325 mg acetaminophen tablets, without further explanation. Just little things that we don’t think about. 🤷🏻‍♀️
