Oh, and did I tell you what the MAC did to the design for Heyer? REMOVED THE BULB-OUTS, and public works agreed! Actually criminal.

And while surveys of CV residents, and attendees at MAC meetings, showed majority support for bike lanes and other infrastructure, the MAC recommended that the design without bike lanes move forward.

This tragedy occurred on a street where the county recently completed a “pedestrian safety” project, but which local advocates pushed back against due to the lack of physical traffic calming & bike infrastructure. The warnings were ignored.

I was starting to research which PWHL team to support this season, and I learned that SAN JOSE is getting an expansion team!!!! Check that off my to-do list!

Ah, good point, I haven't seen any pro-Prop 40 ads, either.

Becky @rstanek.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

It has been fascinating to see who opposes it. Sure, Newsom and Becerra, but … Planned Parenthood? (Meanwhile, plenty of groups blindly support Prop 38, which shovels a bunch of cash to a billionaire-founded research institute that doesn’t even exist yet.)

The only higher power I believe in is the baseball gods, which is why I'm certain that only the Guardians, White Sox, Astros, or Atlanta can win the World Series this year. The curse of the World Baseball Classic Team USA is alive!

I can’t seem to find a general opt-out. Instead I eventually get to a page where Meta asks for any prompts I have used to generate images, and resultant screenshots.

Screenshot of Meta’s page for opting out of one’s image being used in genAI. UhMeta is requesting the “relevant prompt” and the screenshot of the response.

Honestly, great advertising for Coyote merch! I’ve had my eye on the COYOTE COYOTE COYOTE shirt, and now you tell me I can also get a Japanese diving shirt free with purchase?

An AI flyer is a brown M&M test. If your event or business is cutting corners by using an AI flyer, where else are you cutting corners? What else are you cheating out on? Why should I be bothered to go somewhere you couldn't be bothered to promote with a little of your own personality?

Between this, the Flock cameras used to stalk women, the bots used to harass college girls, and the proposed legislation to check children's genitals, it's clear the end goal is to legally codify women's lack of privacy & thus advance the idea we are property to be monitored from birth.

We want money and housing and healthcare, not a shortcut to living the most basic unfulfilled human existence that a coked up programmer can devise. Some of us are happy. Others of us fully imagine that we can become happy. Many of us aren’t afraid of what that costs.
