You can always rely on Angelica to provide rich and astute readings of media. As I walked out of The Odyssey, I remarked to my viewing companion that I thought Morton's scene was thew most engaging and thoughtful part of the film. So this reading and added context about Circe was music to my ears.

Every.Single.Day. feels like a crash and recovery day but mustering enough energy to do one productive thing (a workout, answer emails, an evening party)…which then makes me crash and recover the next day on repeat. Are there comparable precedents for this much of a drop off from primary to runoff for a candidate? How did one candidate drop off 400,000 votes (nearly half his primary numbers) while the other remained the exact same number even though they were nearly even in the primary. This is jarring. 🧐

I rewatched the first 30min of last years Oscar’s during lunch. The Ariana/Cynthia medley I think still worked though with the opening L.A. montage and Conan meant it took an entire 30min to announce first award. Conan’s monologue was… not great. Not terrible but really meh. Hope he steps it up.
