Of the individual addresses delivered in its framework, only two have stayed in cultural memory, as was more or less the organizers' intent. One of those two lecturers was Heisenberg, who spoke on ‘The picture of nature of modern physics’ (Das Naturbild der modernen Physik). The other was Martin Heidegger, delivering his discourse, ‘The question concerning technology’ (Die Frage nach der Technik).”
