So far, the writing is fantastic. Descriptive without being flowery, just the right level of humor to make the world feel real, lived in. My favorite dialogue choice was when I found some folks playing V:tM in a diner and had the opportunity to tell them I don’t like vampire RPGs.

About Nighthawks specifically, it’s somewhere between a management sim and a visual novel. You’re building stats and managing a time limit, but the limits are, at least so far, extremely generous. It’s more about making choices that direct your character’s development than strict optimization.

Just as a general practice, you should review indie games you want to support on Steam within the first day or so they come out. It’s really dumb but it helps so much with visibility to get positive reviews *quickly.* You can always change or edit them later!!

I mentioned to my husband that I backed a kinda high tier of the Nighthawks Kickstarter and he was confused because we generally check with each other before we spend large amounts of money.
