Good news indeed! Please note though that the photo of a Yellow Wagtail appears to show a continental male 'flava' (Blue-headed) subspecies. Small numbers of this subspecies do appear in the UK but the typical British subspecies is 'flavissima' with a greenish cap.

I remember my first visit to 🇨🇭 watching luggage being delivered efficiently & orderly with cases stopping then feeding into gaps on the conveyor belt. I also remember jumping in haste onto a train at Zurich & then discovering I was on a (rare) delayed non-stop train to Bern & not to the airport 🤡.

There should be a 3rd graph showing countries involved in peace negotiations (almost exclusively US). It shouldn't be America, whose only interest under current regime is Trump & family 1st, Trump cronies 2nd, America = Russia 3rd and screw Ukraine. Europe must stand up and lead. America: back off.

I hope people understand what happened here. Yesterday in the late afternoon, Trump said that Putin had promised not to attack Ukraine in such a way that it would damage their heating. Then a few hours later, that is exactly what the Russians did in a massive attack.

I first worked in HH in Jan 87. I believe it was -18C 🥶. 3 weeks earlier I'd been working in California 🌞 so a bit of a shock to the system. One winter I walked from Eppendorf to Hauptbahnhof across the Alster to get my Sunday paper and saw a couple in a sledge pulled by a horse on the ice!

When I was much younger there was a sense that Americans were wealthier than us but also generous. Sadly, under the 🍊💩 the US 🇺🇸 seems mean-spirited, hostile, unprincipled, selfish & greedy. Frequent mass shootings make it a more dangerous place too. It ain't perfect here but it beats Trumpland.
