I said it at the time (and before!), but I truly believe that American voters electing Donald Trump for a second term in 2024 was the dumbest and most self-harming choice made by an electorate in the history of humanity

The speed limits are all over the place too, reporting 30 km/h for highway sections (100 km/h by day) here in the Netherlands. It's way off very often. Quite dangerous if you would follow this, but luckily the Dutch don't really keep to the speed limits on the highway at least.

The Economist is treating Musk the same way centre right parties are treating the far right: way too nice. Minton Beddoes merely tickled him, yet he showed his resentful self. Why are there so few liberals who understand that you can’t accommodate the far right?

After a certain amount of wealth it's just enough. You can do with 1 bed, 1 refrigerator, 1 AC (would be nice actually ATM, scorching). You can only eat so many meals a day. Wealth is not equal to happiness, but a certain minimum certainly helps :-)

Yes, excuse my generic wording. I'm not a billionaire nor have that ambition. I could not live with that wealth and see normal people struggle. Reason I never want to live in USA again (or even travel to).

Make that every self made billionaire, in my view not an achievement but a sign of lack of empathy and humane world view. Common traits for people on the autistic spectrum which often end up to be nerds. Super smart but total disconnect from the real world.

AI subsidies were never going to last. Anthropic is committing $15B/year to SpaceX for data centers while Big Tech cuts jobs to fund AI infrastructure. Now GitHub and Anthropic are moving heavy consumer usage patterns from flat rate to metered plans. The free lunch is almost over.

No idea, not my project 🤷‍♂️. It's built by a MAUI team member. I think it's an ideal project for letting agents run and fix the gazillion small issues covering all the subtle differences between native / web over its supported platforms.

Apart from some MAUI work more or less fulltime since 3.2. Hosted WebAssembly, mix of SSR and InteractiveWebAssembly. Debug has regressed quite significantly since 10 TBH, loading all debug symbols and attaching to WebAssembly client seems a lot slower.
