An exciting find at Blo' Norton on Thursday, the ground bug Rhyparochromus vulgaris. A relatively recent arrival in the UK. Appears to be the first record for Norfolk although I'm sure someone else will probably have beaten me to it!
A long, oval bug coloured in mottled shades of brown with a large black area at the front of the pronotum, a largely black scutellum and black wing membrane with a small white spot at the appex. There are small white patches on the edges of the pronotum and light patches in other areas. The legs are quite dark except the fore and mid tarsi which are pale orangey-brown. It is quite striking looking. The bug is sitting head uppermost on brown tree bark.

Areas of Nobles Field, St Ives (Cambs), with Common (?) & Musk Mallow, plus Wild Carrot, in ~2m wide strips. Searching around I see this described as 'wildflower seeding' from this spring, but I'm wondering if the 'Common Mallow', top right, is something like Malva sylvestris mauritiana. 🤔
